Every year, HAN (Architecture in Health) and TU/e (Smart Architectural Technologies) organize within the framework of ‘The New Living’, focusing on developing a smart living care environment through collaboration between science and practice. This involves multidisciplinary research that contributes to better utilization of technology and socio-spatial knowledge, future-oriented and human-centered. In so-called ‘Empathic Living Labs’, researchers from various fields (designers, architects, sociologists, health scientists, etc.) work together. These labs are characterized by active, innovative collaboration across the entire housing chain, from independent living with or without ambulatory care to intramural living. Various PhD projects are associated with these initiatives.
This year, it will be an afternoon full of knowledge sharing with two or three speakers, a workshop session, and a concluding networking moment. With the cooperation of Platform 31. The symposium will likely take place in Nijmegen/Arnhem.
